PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of a conventional apparatus for diagnosing a bearing where a bearing is diagnosed by detecting a peak generated at the time of abnormality that a small peak is drowned out by noise and decision of abnormality may become difficult because the features can not be found. SOLUTION: Vibration of a bearing 1 under rotation is detected by a vibration detector 2 and converted into a digital signal through an amplifier 3 and an A/D converter 4. Subsequently, it is converted by a wavelet converter 5 into a time series signal at each frequency band from which an average effective value and a maximum value are extracted and compared with a decision value corrected based on the type and the used year of a bearing inputted by a parameter setter 7. If the bearing is abnormal, an alarm is delivered from an alarm 15.
