PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical connector which can be fixed on a substrate member with suppressed labor and time necessary for installation work for the fixation. SOLUTION: A receptacle 1 as an optical connector is fixed on a printed wiring board 70. The printed wiring board 70 is provided with a slit 71. The receptacle 1 is provided with a housing 21, optical receiving/transmitting devices 24a and 24b housed in this housing 21 and ground terminals 22. The housing 21 is provided with a base material having conductivity and an insulating film formed on the surface of this base material. The housing is provided with ground terminal press-fitting parts 35. The ground terminals 22 are press-fitted into the ground terminal press-fitting parts 35 and engaged to the slits 71. When the ground terminals 22 are press-fitted into the ground terminal press-fitting parts 35, the insulating film is removed and the ground terminals are contacted with the base material. |
