PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera where a focusing optical system is automatically corrected so that a focusing position is always kept in a photographing-feasible focusing area and which does not require the correction of the position of a focus lens every time the focusing is required. SOLUTION: This camera is equipped with a zoom ratio changing means (16, 18 and 30) changing a zoom ratio by moving a zoom optical system (11), focusing means (16, 19 and 30) adjusting the focusing position (L) by moving the focusing optical system (12), a storage means (21) storing the focusing- feasible closest range (Lm) corresponding to the zoom ratio, and focusing control means (16, 19, 21 and 30) controlling the focusing means (16, 19 and 30) so that the focusing position (L) may be equal to or above the closest range (Lm) in the zoom ratio after change when the focusing position (L) by the focusing optical system (12) at the time of changing the zoom ratio is out of the photographing-feasible focusing area (Ea) fixed according to the focusing-feasible closest range (Lm) stored by the storage means (21). |
