PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an envelope for a monetary gift for condolence to be presented at a lyke-wake or a funeral wherein it is easy to handle even if the monetary gift is not necessary, an additional value is obtained, and the envelope is convenient to handle. SOLUTION: The envelope 1 for a monetary gift for condolence comprises a piece of wrapping paper 2 appropriately folded and money holding parts 3 and 4 formed. The piece of wrapping paper 2 is folded so that its rim 2a is exhibited outside and upward. The money holding parts 3 and 4 are folded like pockets with the rim 2a serving as an insert port. The holding parts 3 and 4 hold, in addition to an inner wrapping sheet 5 with a monetary gift wrapped, a message card 6 and/or a visiting card 7.
