PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connecting structure usable for a structure for a building such as an escalator, dispensing with skill and welding works, simply assemblable by anyone. SOLUTION: This connecting structure is characterized in having a long-sized structural material, a long-sized member for installing a component, a lock part locked to the top part of the long-sized structural material, a side abutment part abutting on the side part of the long-sized structural material, a connecting member having a support part sandwiching the long-sized member for installing the component toward the bottom of the long-sized structural material, and a connecting member preventing the opposite side to the side abutment part of the long-sized member for installing component being supported by the connecting member from lowering.
