PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a gas turbine cannot be operated at a predetermined combustion temperature when atmospheric temperature rises, if a temperature set value is set to an excessively low value, when an exhaust gas temperature of the gas turbine is adjusted to prevent its rise above a fixed temperature to improve the durability and reliability of a superheater, thereby worsening heat efficiency of a plant. SOLUTION: When the gas turbine is operated at a peak value of the gas turbine exhaust gas temperature without reducing the gas turbine combustion temperature, a flow rate of spray water of a temperature reducing device is controlled based on scheduled functions, and a temperature of overheated steam flowing in a boiler superheating tube is reduced to prevent a temperature of the boiler superheating tube itself from exceeding a design temperature.
