PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a front wheel driving power-assisted bicycle being safe in driving and running even while a front wheel floats during running on a bumpy road. SOLUTION: In this front wheel driving power-assisted bicycle, a main frame 1 of a bicycle main body, a head pipe 2, and a seat tube 3 are mutually connected. A handle 12 and the front wheel 5 are attached to the head pipe 2, and a panellike casing 20 incorporating a motor is provided in a part of a rotary shaft 10 in a hub of the front wheel 5. Moreover, a rear wheel 6 supported on a frame 15 of the rear wheel is rotated by a driving force of a human power driving part. A means 18 for detecting a floating condition of the front wheel is provided in the frame 15 of the front wheel, and conducting an electric current to the motor built in the panellike casing 20 is stopped when the detection means 18 detects the floating condition of the front wheel.
