PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an erasure of complicated platemaking condition data set by an operator or an erroneous use of expensive special paper occurring by using a stencil printer by another operator by enabling inhibiting of using the printer by the another operator when a certain operator uses the printer. SOLUTION: When the certain operator uses the stencil printer, a lock mode setting control unit is operated (Y of step S1), a function of a lock mode setting means is thereby executed (step S2) and the stencil printer is set to the lock mode. Thus, the another operator cannot set the platemaking condition data in the printer, and the use of the printer by the another operation is inhibited.
