PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine installation part structure of a scooter type vehicle to have comfortable foot resting and excellent design versatility. SOLUTION: An engine 4 is disposed by being fixed to a body frame 5, the crankcase 4a of the engine 4 is positioned in the lower part of a seat 2 for a driver to sit, a foot board 81 and a boomerang cover 89 forming a cover member are provided so as to cover the engine 4, notch parts 81d, 89c are formed on these foot board 81 and the boomerang cover 89, and the side part of the crankcase 4a is exposed to the outside from these notch parts 81d, 89c.
