PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device and an image forming method capable of preventing the deterioration of a photoreceptor, and attaining a high definition image, an image of high quality and capable of increasing an operating speed while improving the durability. SOLUTION: The diameter of the photoreceptor drum 4 is 20 to 80 mm, the absolute value of the surface potential of the photoreceptor drum 4 at a developing position in a non-exposed part is 300 to 450 V, and the photoreceptor drum 4 and the developing sleeve 3 are installed so that the minimum gap between them may be 350 to 800 μm, and the developing sleeve 3 is rotated at a circumferential speed 1.1 to 4.0 times as high as the circumferential speed of the photoreceptor drum 4 so as to develop an electrostatic image by a magnetic brush constituted of two-component developer, and then, a toner image is formed on the photoreceptor drum 4. Besides, the grain size of the toner is 4 to 10 μm, the tinting strength D0.5 of the toner is 1.0 to 1.8, and a difference between the maximum value and the minimum value of the D0.5 in three colors of yellow, magenta and cyan is 0 to 0.5. |
