PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten AF processing time and to make operability excellent. SOLUTION: In a stage where a low-resolution photographing mode for obtaining low-resolution photographic image data is started, live view display is performed by an LCD. At such a time, a CCD mode is set to a thinning output mode. When a shutter button is half-depressed (step S41), photographing for AF is performed (step S43) and an AF evaluated value is calculated by using the obtained image data (step S44). In such a case, the resolution of the used image data is lowered. Since the resolution of the image data used in the case of performing AF processing is low at the time of low-resolution photographing, the AF processing time is shortened. |
