PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver halide photographic emulsion, having high sensitivity and high shelf stability and a silver halide photosensitive material. SOLUTION: The silver halide photographic emulsion, containing a sensitizing dye multilayer-adsorbed on the surfaces of silver halide grains or containing silver halide grains having a light absorption intensity of 100 or larger has the spectral absorption maximum at 700 nm wavelength. The silver halide photographic sensitive material includes at least one layer of the silver halide photographic emulsion.
