PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a matte coating composition showing a good finish appearance and excellent scratch resistance. SOLUTION: The matte coating composition consists of (A) one or more emulsified resins for coatings chosen from an acrylic resin, a polyester resin, a polyurethane resin, a chlorinated polyolefin resin and an amorphous polyolefin resin obtained via emulsion polymerization or polymer emulsification and (B) one or more porous particles.
