PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition which contains ceric oxide and is excellent in weatherability and transparency and has no problem of thermal discoloration or the like when mixing ceric oxide. SOLUTION: The resin composition is obtained by incorporating 0.01-10 pts.wt. crystalline ceric oxide into 100 pts.wt. thermoplastic resin. This crystalline ceric oxide has been surface-treated with 2-20 wt.%, based on the amount of CeO2, surface active agent and substantially does not contain particles having a particle diameter of >=200 nm, and has an average particle diameter of 30-100 nm and a specific surface area of <=70 m2/g.
