PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording control method of image data in which good recording of image data can be ensured by feeding a recording medium appropriately while saving an ink ribbon. SOLUTION: A CPU in a recorder develops image data into data for recording while updating a Y pointer to produce developed image data, takes the storage of a band of developed image data from a head raster constituting the image data as the opportunity of starting record, determines the feed amount of a recording medium for relevant recording as a feed amount when the head dot in the head of the recorder is located at the head raster, feeds the recording medium based on that feed amount and executes desired recording of the relevant band based on the developed image data.
