PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent undried component of preprint operation from adhering to a magnetic recording drum thus exerting a bad influence. SOLUTION: In a magnetic printer (1) where a magnetic latent image is formed on a magnetic recording drum by means of a magnetic recording head and developed with magnetic toner before being transferred onto a preprint sheet (2), a unit (3) for drying the preprint sheet in the prestage of transfer is provided.
