PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a vinyl chloride-based resin composition for wire coating excellent in heat resistance and coloring prevention. SOLUTION: This vinyl chloride-based resin composition for wire coating is obtained by adding (a) 0.1-20 mass parts of a polyglycidyl ether compound, (b) 0.05-10 mass parts of a hydrotalcite compound represented by general formula (I) MgX1ZnX2Al2 (OH)2X1+2X2+4CO3.mH2O (1) (X1 and X2 are each a number for satisfying a condition represented by the formulas 0<=X1/X1<10, 2<=X1+X2<20) and (c) 0.05-5 mass parts of a phosphoric ester zinc salt to 100 pts.wt. of a vinyl chloride-based resin.
