PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a closure for optical cable by which the danger of optical loss and disconnection of a water infiltration detecting optical fiber is reduced and water infiltration can be surely detected. SOLUTION: In the closure for optical fiber where optical cable fixtures are respectively provided at both ends with a closure casing and an optical fiber housing tray which is composed of a tension member fixture for the optical cable, a water infiltration detecting optical fiber housing tray 26 which houses a slack part of the water infiltration detecting optical fiber and a non-water infiltration detecting optical fiber housing tray which houses a slack part of a non-water infiltration detecting optical fiber are provided between the optical cable fixtures, and a water infiltration sensor 48 is housed within the water infiltration detecting optical fiber housing tray 26, the water infiltration detecting optical fiber housing tray 26 is provided with a tray main body 34 and a lid body 38 which house the slack part of the water infiltration detecting optical fiber 20, and a lock fixing part 50 which fixes the water infiltration sensor 48 is provided in the lower part in the tray main body 34.
