PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical switch capable of suppressing the inclination of a movable member to an oscillation plane in the case of oscillating the movable member in a beam structure even when the movable member using a loop optical fiber is comparatively heavy. SOLUTION: Concerning the optical switch for switching optical transmission with a stationary member by the oscillating action of the movable member while having a substrate, fixed member provided on the substrate for fixing the optical fiber, stationary member provided on the substrate for fixing the optical fiber, elastically deformable beam fixed on the fixed member, movable member composed of soft magnetic materials for providing a cantilever structure in respect to the fixed member by means of the beam and magnetic actuator for oscillating the movable member at least, the loop optical fiber is fixed on the movable member for propagating light from the direction of the stationary member to the direction of the stationary member, and at least one loop optical fiber is fixed by the fixed member together with the beam. |
