PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of preventing color slurring from occurring on an image formed on an intermediate transfer belt even when the rotating speed of the intermediate transfer belt is fluctuated because paper comes off from a carrying roller. SOLUTION: In a printer 10 equipped with the intermediate transfer belt 12 driven and rotated by a roller 18, image forming means units 20Y, 20M, 20C and 20K respectively forming the image on the belt 12, a transfer roller 34 transferring the formed image to the paper, the carrying roller 48a carrying the paper to a transfer area 36 to which the image is transferred, and a roller driving means 19 giving rotational torque to the rollers 18 and 48a; the image forming unit 20K and the roller 48a are respectively arranged in such positional relation that a 1st distance (c) from an image forming position 23K where the unit 20K forms the image to the transfer area 36 is longer than a 2nd distance (d) from a contact part 49 where the paper comes into contact with the roller 48a to the transfer area 36 with respect to the roller 34. |
