PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rationally constitute a transporting roller without damaging photosensitive materials even if the development processing liquid sticking thereto crystallizes. SOLUTION: The transporting roller 25 is constituted to have a roller body 32 consisting of a pliable blank. This roller body 32 is integrally provided with a shaft-like part 32a and many projecting parts 32b increasingly sharpened toward the front end, by which the development processing liquid is sucked under capillarity into valley parts 32c formed between the projecting parts 32b and the projecting parts 32b and the phenomenon to generate crystallized matter on the surface is averted. When the roller comes into contact with a film, the occurrence of flaws on the film is averted by utilizing the drastic elastic deformation of the projecting parts 32b under light pressure.
