PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an efficient electric heater using a halogen lamp. SOLUTION: The electric heater has a constitution wherein a heating means is added to a radiant shield 30 and a safety net 31 is provided over the whole surface of the radiant shield 30. The electric heater comprises a halogen lamp fixing plate 50 which is so designed that it can supply power to the radiant shield 30 and has a fixing hole 51 fixing the halogen lamp 40 horizontally, an auxiliary radiant shield 60 which is provided at the curved central portion of the halogen lamp 40 and reflects heat on the radiant shield 30 and a radiant shield fixing opening 32 of which one end is fixed to the auxiliary radiant shield 60 and the other to the center of the safety net 31.
