PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure stable braking performance by assembling the web end parts of brake shoes to an adjuster assembly without looseness in the adjuster assembly for a drum brake comprising an adjusting screw and an adjusting nut connected out of rotation to one brake shoe and rotatably connected to the other brake shoe. SOLUTION: In this adjuster assembly for the drum brake, the adjusting screw 12 and the adjusting nut 14 are provided with fitting recessed grooves 12a, 14a for receiving projecting parts 16b, 18b of the web end parts of the brake shoes 16, 18, and taper parts 12b, 14b that can restrict the movement of both projecting parts 16b, 18b within a plane vertical to the axial direction of the adjuster assembly 10 are formed at both fitting recessed grooves 12a, 14a.
