PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording sheet capable of dealing with a rapid ink jet printer. SOLUTION: The ink jet recording sheet comprises a mercerized pulp obtained by alkali-treating a pulp as a fiber material, thereby obtaining a fast ink absorption speed and a high ink color developing density. Since the sheet itself has an excellent ink absorbing speed, it is not necessary to execute coating to improve ink absorbability, and the sheet can be used as the ink jet recording sheet of a woodfree paper type. |
