PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems that it takes a time until printing is finished when a calibration of a printer is started on the way of a printing job because the calibration cannot be previously known and output results before and after the calibration sometimes become different when the calibration is conducted on the way of the job. SOLUTION: The method for controlling printing comprises the steps of acquiring status information of the designated printer, referring to a 'status' of a status managing table 304, and confirming whether the designated printer is in a ready state or in an error state (S903-S905). The method further comprises the steps of processing to predict the calibration if the printer is in the ready state, and judging whether the calibration is conducted in the designated printer or not (S906-S907). The method also comprises the step of processing to select the printer to re-select the printer if it is judged that the calibration is conducted in the designated printer (S908). |
