PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute the beam irradiation with a light distribution pattern immediately corresponding to the vehicle traveling situation in a headlamp system for a vehicle comprising a headlamp obtained by accommodating a lighting fixture unit for forward beam irradiation with the predetermined light distribution pattern inside a lamp body. SOLUTION: When vehicle speed of a self-car is over 25 km/h, a low beam light distribution pattern P(L) is changed corresponding to a distance between the self-car and a preceding car as shown in Fig. (a). That is, when the distance between cars is long, a cut-off light CL is slightly upwardly directed (broken line) to increase the long distance visibility, and when the distance between cars L is short, the cut-off line CL is slightly downwardly directed (chain line) not to give the glare to a driver of the preceding car. On the other hand, when the car velocity V is below 25 km/h, the low beam light distribution pattern P(L) is fixed to a downward position (solid line) as shown in Fig. (b) to prevent the glare and to prevent the driver in the preceding car from having the unnecessary feeling of incompatibility caused by the change of the low beam light distribution pattern P(L) in advance. |
