PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent unnecessary light which is not parallel to an optical axis from entering a liquid crystal panel to prevent the temperature of the liquid crystal panel from rising remarkably. SOLUTION: A liquid crystal projector is provided with a light source 3, mirror bodies disposed to be tilted against the optical axis L of the light source 3 and reflecting light and liquid crystal panels 6, 60 and 61 irradiated with light reflected on the mirror bodies and the liquid crystal panels 6, 60 and 61 each is provided with a display part 62 displaying an image and a polarizing plate 63 disposed on the light incident side of the displaying part 62 and transmitting only the light parallel to the optical axis L. Each mirror body comprises at least one sheet of transparent body in which a polarized light separating film 5 reflecting only the light parallel to the optical axis L is formed. |
