<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To greatly reduce generation of flaw detection output noise due to passage of a wire at a high speed in collateral use of magnetic saturation so as to carry out eddy current flaw detection of the wire material traveling at a high speed in a coil device for wire eddy current flaw detection used in a penetration coil type eddy current flaw detection method concurrently using a direct current magnetic saturation. SOLUTION: This wire eddy current flaw detection coil device is provided with penetration type flaw detection coils 11, 12 impressing a flaw detection alternating current magnetic field to an inspected wire and magnetic saturation coils 31, 32 arranged on both sides of the penetration type flaw detection coils 11, 12 for impressing a magnetic saturation direct current magnetic field to the inspected wire. In a pair of the magnetic saturation coils 31, 32, taper through hole type wire passing guides 31A, 32A provided with wire passing tapered through holes 31Aa, 32Aa gradually expanded in diameter toward the penetration type flaw detection coil side and made of a ferromagnetic material are provided respectively in their coil hollow core parts.</p> |
