<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-pressure pump to make suppression of wear of a plunger and a cylinder and seizure of a slide contact part therebetween compatible with facilitation of manufacture of the plunger and the cylinder. SOLUTION: In a high pressure fuel pump (a high pressure pump) 11, the plunger slidably in a reciprocating manner fitted in a cylinder 12 is driven by a cam 15 through a lifter 16 guided by a lifter guide 17, and fluid is pressurized by changing a volume of a pressure chamber 14. A contact surface 27 of a lifter 16 is formed such that an inclination center C1 when the lifter is inclined in a range regulated by the lifter guide 17 is positioned approximately at the center of the contact surface 27. Since, when the lifter 16 is inclined during a pressure stroke, the lifter 16 is inclined with the approximate center of the contact surface 27 coinciding with the inclination center C1, a deviation of the press position of the lifter 16 from an axis 13a of the plunger 13 can be suppressed.</p> |
