PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuous casting method by which surface cracking in a slab does not occur even in the case boron-added steel is subjected to high speed casting. SOLUTION: From molten steel having a steel composition containing 0.0002 to 0.0060% B, <=0.0065% N and <=0.070% Ti, continuous casting is performed under the conditions of the following inequality (1): 1.2<=Vc<=-3×108[B×(N-14/48Ti)]2-11500B×(N-14/48Ti)+2.03...(1); wherein, Vc: m/min., and B, N and Ti: mass%.
