PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a radiation image conversion panel which is highly sensitive and gives radiation images of high picture quality. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a radiation image conversion panel that includes a process where a stimulable phosphor layer is formed by evaporating onto a support a substance produced through the irradiation of an evaporation source containing stimulable phosphors (or a material for them) with an electron beam is characterized by the use of the stimulable phosphors or the material of them whose relative density is 80% to 98% as the material for the evaporation source.
