PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such problems that a commercially available strain gage warps when the gage is put into a liquid resin or a paint used as raw material for fiber-reinforced plastic, coating film, or the like, and that, because the molding of the material is relatively soft in its hardening process, the gage sensitivity is lowered to cause difficulty in measurement. SOLUTION: The base 2 of this strain gage is made larger to prevent the lowering of the gage sensitivity, and a corrugation 3 having a curved shape as illustrated is provided around the base so that the strain gage can be embedded without warping in an arbitrary position in the thickness direction.
