PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve stacking efficiencies of packaging materials at a recovery part and to monitor the stacking state of the packaging materials. SOLUTION: The packaging material treating apparatus includes an unsealing part 3 to unseal 10 packages F of a film (f), a removal part 4 to remove the film (f) unsealed by the part 3, a recovery part 7 to recover the film (f) removed by the part 4, and a push plates 14, 15 to push and compress the film (f) recovered in the recovery part 7.
