SOLUTION: In an output unit which can set a plurality of output parameters, information concerning to data output is detected from supplementary information (S33) when the supplementary information is inputted along with the data being outputted according to a specified protocol. Output parameters are then selected depending on the detected information (S34) and the data is converted according to the selected output parameters (S38).
