<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lower the temperature of exhaust gas spewed from the muffler of a small engine. SOLUTION: In the muffler of the small engine, a first partition wall plate 12 formed with a grooved exhaust gas induction part 12a in a portion opposite to an exhaust gas inlet 11 for connection to the exhaust port of the engine, for defining a first expansion chamber 14 between itself and a muffler inner sidewall plate 13, is provided and an exhaust gas circulating small hole 12c is bored in the center portion 12b of the first partition wall plate 12. An exhaust gas circulating small hole 12e is also bored in the lower portion 12d of the first partition wall plate 12 and a second partition wall plate 16 for defining a second expansion chamber 15 from at least the center portion 12b of the first partition wall plate 12 to the outside of the lower portion 12d is provided. A muffler outer sidewall plate 17 covering the second partition wall plate 16 and the upper portion 12f of the first partition wall plate 12 is provided and an exhaust gas outlet 18 communicating with the second expansion chamber 15 is provided.</p> |
