PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a complex comprising a rare earth (mainly lanthanoid) element with bis- and tris-amino acid derivative ligands and, to provide a chiral shift reagent which contains the complex as an active ingredient, has a good performance and is used for 1H NMR and 13C NMR, and to provide an optically resolving reagent containing the complex as an active ingredient. SOLUTION: This rare earth element complex comprising the bis- and tris- amino acid derivative ligand and the rare earth (mainly lanthanoid) element. The chiral shift reagent which contains the complex as an active ingredient, has a good performance, and is used for 1H NMR and 13C NMR. A method for analyzing the optical purity and absolute configuration of an optical isomer, comprising measuring the NMR spectrum of an optical isomer mixture sample containing the chiral shift reagent and then analyzing the spectrum. A method for efficiently resolving a racemate into enantiomers. |
