PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lock member capable of securely locking a screw stopped at a lock position without displacing the axial direction and a tip position thereof, and to provide a space adjusting mechanism, an optical equipment and a mirror holder using this lock member. SOLUTION: This lock member 4 for generating the force in parallel with the axial direction of a screw 14 and applying this force to a screw is formed so that a direction of the force to be applied to the screw and a direction of the movement of the lock member itself when applying the force to the screw coincide with each other.
