摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a tension control device in a furnace with which the variation of the tension in a continuous annealing furnace can be minimized. SOLUTION: This tension control device in the furnace is provided with a tension detecting instrument for detecting the tension of a material to be annealed in the continuous annealing furnace, a proportional-integral device 3 for outputting a correcting value for tension feedback control according to the difference between a tension setting value 1 and the tension detected value 2, a speed detecting instrument 9 for detecting the speed of a motor 8 for driving helper rolls in the continuous annealing furnace, a speed control device 5 for outputting a speed command based on the additional value adding the correcting value from the proportional-integral device 3 to the speed setting value and a speed feedback value from the speed detecting instrument 9, a current control device 6 for outputting a current command according to the speed command from the speed control device 5 and an inverter circuit 7 for controlling the current to the motor 8 for driving the helper rolls based on the current command from the current control device 6. Further, a changing means 11 for changing a gain to be set in the proportional-integral device 3 according to the tension detected value from the tension detecting instrument, is provided therein.
