PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize and simplify a structure when changing valve timing by either or both of two cam shafts 2, 3 supported on a cylinder head 1 by a variable valve timing mechanism 8. SOLUTION: The variable valve timing mechanism 8 is provided by fitting it in one end of the cam shaft on one side and is rotatably supported on the cylinder head 1 so that the variable valve timing mechanism and a shaft receive part of the cam shaft are overlapped in the direction of the cam shaft.
