PURPOSE: To provide a mobile communication system, that can realize transmission power control for obtaining prescribed reception quality (communication quality), independently of the change in a propagation environment, such as number of multi-paths in existing in an actual environment and a speed of a mobile station. CONSTITUTION: The mobile communication system detects the reception error rate of a received signal, compares the reception error rate with a preset object reception error rate, corrects an object reception signal signal-to-interference ratio(SIR) or an object reception power, on the basis of the result of comparison and sets a transmission control signal (TPC(transmission power control) bit) for transmission, so that the transmission power becomes prescribed object power, on the basis of the corrected object reception signal power versus interference power ratio or object reception power. |
