PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for producing a circular knitted fabric, which enable to knit and simultaneously nap the circular knitted fabric on a double circular knitting machine, and to provide a napped circular knitted fabric free from unevenness, such as a purl knitted fabric, a rib knitted fabric or an interlock fabric. SOLUTION: This circular knitted fabric 12 comprising the purl knitted fabric, the rib knitted fabric or the interlock fabric is characterized by using a soft twist yarn as a knitting yarn 10 used for the knitted fabric 12 and uniformly napping the outer side 0 of the knitted fabric 12. The method for producing the circular knitted fabric 12, comprising knitting the knitting yarn with the double circular knitting machine 1 is characterized by bringing the outer side 0 of the knitted fabric 12 knitted with the knitting machine 1 into contact with a napping brush 18, disposing a receiving plate 19 on the inner side corresponding to the brush 18, and knitting and simultaneously napping the knitted fabric 12 between the napping brush 18 and the receiving plate 19. The device for producing the circular knitted fabric, comprising the double knitting machine is characterized by disposing the napping brush 18 in an energized state on the outer side 0 of the knitted fabric 12 between a dial and a take-up roller 13 in the knitting machine 1, fixing the receiving plate 19 on the inner side corresponding to the brush 18, and napping the outer side of the knitted fabric 12 between the receiving plate 19 and the napping brush 18.
