PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new appropriate tumor marker for: 1) brain tumor, 2) bile duct cancer, 3) gallbradder cancer, 4) ovarian cancer, 5) kidney cancer, 6) pancreatic cancer, 7) lung glandular cancer, 8) large cell lung cancer, 9) squamous epithelial cancer, and 10) small cell lung cancer. SOLUTION: In this early diagnostic method, the C-terminus non-triple chain teropeptide (ICTP) of known type I collagen is used as the appropriate diagnostic marker for: 1) brain tumor, 2) bile duct cancer, 3) gallbradder cancer, 4) ovarian cancer, 5) kidney cancer, 6) pancreatic cancer, 7) lung glandular cancer, 8) large cell lung cancer, 9) squamous epithelial cancer, and 10) small cell lung cancer.
