摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of part items of and man-hours for assembly of an oil separator structure for separating oil entrained in the blowby gas of an internal combustion engine by improving the location and arrangement of the oil separator structure, particularly an oil separator chamber. SOLUTION: The oil separator chamber 20 for separating oil entrained in the blowby gas is provided on the outside of a transmission member passage and on the mating surfaces 3 of a cylinder block and a cylinder head, the transmission member passage connecting a crankshaft to the camshaft of a valve system. Partition walls 23a, 24 and 23b perpendicular to the mating surfaces 3 for partitioning the oil separator chamber 20 into a plurality of small chambers 25a, 25b and 25c are arranged alternately in the cylinder block and the cylinder head to form a labyrinth structure. A blowby gas intake passage 27 communicating with the transmission member passage is provided in the small chamber 25a at one end of the plurality of small chambers and a blowby gas exhaust passage 28 for returning the blowby gas to an air cleaner is provided in the small chamber 25c at the other end. Each of the small chambers 25b and 25c not provided with the blowby gas intake passage 27 is provided with an oil return passage 29 communicating with the transmission member passage.
