METHOD FOR CONTROLLING SWING OF SUSPENSION HOOK IN WORKBOAT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling the swing of a suspension hook in a workboat capable of effectively controlling the swing of the suspension hook in a crane for pulling up a heavy article. SOLUTION: A method for controlling the swing of the suspension hook in a workboat according to this method comprises considering a time delay from the detection of the amount of the swing of the suspension hook to the start of action for controlling the swing, estimating controlled variables based upon the amount of the time delay, and controlling the swing based on the estimated controlled variables. Thus, the process from the detection of the swing to the stop by effecting the operation of an actuator for actually stopping the swing can be carried out with suitable controlled variables and good timing, thereby allowing an effective stop of the swing of the suspension hook.
