PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for bookbinding capable of treating a back surface of a book and simply laminating the book to a cover. SOLUTION: The back surface of the book 1 is fixed by a hot melt 8, and reinforced by a reinforcing sheet 2. Sides of both sides of the sheet 2 are covered with front side end paper sheet 3a and a rear side end paper sheet 3b. Thus, the back surface of the book 1 is rigidly bookbound at side faces of both sides continued to the back surface. Further, a compact bookbinding hard cover 4 in which a front side cover cardboard 5, a back cardboard 7 and a rear side cover cardboard 6 are adhered in adhered by the sheet 3a and the sheet 3a formed with the adhesive material layers and connected to the book 1, and hence can be treated simply and finished beautifully.
