Housing with ESD protection

The housing comprises two metal halves (H1, H2). One side of one of the two halves forms the front panel (F). At least one metal block or a metallised plastics block (M) is disposed within the housing for attachment of the circuit board (LP) and forming an electrical connection between the circuit board and the two housing halves. A central reference potential is available. The housing fulfils electromagnetic compatibility requirements and provides ESD protection.
