PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a twin-core ferrule that facilitates control in a grinding direction. SOLUTION: In one end of a metallic sleeve 10 with both ends opened, an optical fiber 14 is attached containing two core wires 14a; and, in the other end of the sleeve, a capillary 12 is attached having through-holes 12a for inserting the two core wires. The tip end of the capillary is projected outside, with a part of the projected side face removed to form a cut face 12c; this cut face is formed parallelly to the arranged direction of the two through-holes. As a result, in obliquely grinding the tip end face of the capillary, the cut face serves as a reference surface for the grinding process, facilitating the control of the grinding in the manner that the inclined direction of a slope 12b is at right angles with the arranged direction of the two through-holes (core wires).
