PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device which has high transfer efficiency and can stably supply an image of high picture quality free of the void phenomenon. SOLUTION: The image forming device having an intermediate transfer body has a surface layer containing resin having silicon as a terminal base. Here, the surface layer of the intermediate transfer body, preferably, contains fluororesin powder and/or a conductive agent, has a friction coefficient of 0.2 to 0.5, and has surface roughness Rz (10-point mean roughness) of less than 1.5μm.
