PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for removing the nonuniformity of a film thickness causing the reduction of the life of a seamless flexible endless member which is formed by electric-casting. SOLUTION: The seamless flexible endless member is formed by electric- casting, and at a process of forming an organic photoreceptive layer on the surface of the endless flexible member as a substrate, both end parts of the substrate are cut plural times so as to obtain the photoreceptor of a prescribed width. At the 1st time of cutting both end parts, the thickness distribution of the substrate is controlled within the extent of 5μm.
