PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitoring system around a vehicle, capable of certainly grasping the kind of an article around the vehicle. SOLUTION: In a normal mode, a composite image indicating a relationship between the vehicle and the surroundings is produced by plural camera images. In a range OLa to OLd superimposed by a camera view range, as a result of composing the image, the image of an article existing in the range OLa to OLd (for example, pole P3) has a possibility to be unclear. In an exceptional mode, the camera images related to the superposing range OLa to OLd are individually indicated without blending.
